Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai competitor from Peru and mixed martial artist who is a part of in the UFC for the Flyweight Division, is at present in the Flyweight Division. She's older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer. She first made an appearance at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals with a the unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won her second prize in 2007, with a bronze award in 2008. She also won a gold medal in 2011 she was named the 2017 IFMA World Amateur MuayThailand Champion. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 she won the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was made in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She won via TKO during the 2nd round and continued to beat two more fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. It gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She returned to fight Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's prodigious strike abilities allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory Antonina was given the opportunity to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina was able to bounce back from her defeat to defeat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the 2nd round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
