Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, at Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, and received great reviews from music blogs as well as from the media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two covers worth noting that the artist has done. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see what it could do. Her parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a pastime, but to grow. So she started writing her own songs. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother had told her that her songs could not only help her get noticed, however, they could also help others understand their value within the global community and see how they can benefit from the songs, she decided to begin singing in public. The piano was first played by her when she was six years old and began writing music when she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached 14. The dream was never to be Aurora. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. According to her music, is the most efficient way to express anything.
